Two teenage burglars have robbed a Salvation Army food bank in Christchurch should have visited in work hours if they were hungry, a spokesperson says.

The break-in happened on Southampton Street in Sydenham shortly before 6am on Friday.
The pair, who wore dark clothing, left blood at the scene but police dogs were not able to find them.
A window was smashed and bags of newly-donated food were taken.
Salvation Army Captain Brenton Millar says if the burglars needed food, they only had to ask.
"We'd like an outcome, but more than that, if people are after food they can come and see us in work hours and we can assist people when they're in need."
Captain Millar hopeful the police may be able to match the blood left at the scene.
