The Crown has lodged an application for the trial of 18 people caught up in the nationwide police raids to be heard by a judge only.
The group faces a variety of firearm charges stemming from the raids which took place in October 2007.
Five people also face a charge of participating in a criminal group.
The reasons the Crown want the trial to be heard only by a judge are suppressed.
