Police have suspend their search for a Dunedin teenager who disappeared in the Clutha River a week ago.
The boy, 16, was swimming with a friend below the Roxburgh Dam when he got into difficulty and vanished.
Senior Sergeant Mike Cook says an extensive search has found no trace of the teenager so it must be presumed he has drowned.
He says the family has asked that the name of the boy not be made public.
