Pair found guilty of killing Nelson man

Two men have been found guilty over the killing of Nelson man Bruce Mortimer.

Mr Mortimer was attacked in a hostel in the city last year, and later died of his injuries.

Ronayne Dempsey was found guilty of murder at the end of a 13-day trial at the High Court in Nelson.

Timothy Brunsell, 18, was been found guilty of manslaughter. He was initially charged with assault with intent to injure, but the charge was upgraded.

The pair will be sentenced in November.
