A man who became trapped under pallets at an Auckland business has died.

The Fire Service says it was called to Neilson Street in Penrose about 10.30am today.
The spokeswoman said the man was trapped under three pallets, but it was unclear if they had anything on them.
She said fire crews were able to free the man but he died at the scene.
WorkSafe has been notified and is making initial inquiries into the incident.
