Emergency services were called to Speargrass Flat just after 11am, after a pilot and passenger from Skytrek Hang Gliding landed on the side of Coronet Peak.

In a statement, the company said the pair ended up between the take-off point at the peak's car park and the intended landing point at Flight Park.

It said the pair suffered minor to moderate injuries and a rescue helicopter was on standby.

The Civil Aviation Authority has been notified, and the company has temporary suspended its commercial operations.
