Two people are in hospital with injuries after a stabbing in New Brighton in Christchurch.
Police were called to Pacific Road in New Brighton just before 8pm.
The person who was stabbed was in Christchurch Hospital with moderate injuries, they said.
The suspect was also in hospital, with minor injuries, and was under police guard.
