A 47-year-old Dunedin man accused of murder can now be named as painter Jason Blackler.
Mr Blackler is charged with killing 66-year-old Alan Fahey at a property in Brockville on 25 October.
Mr Fahey's body was discovered on Wednesday morning.
Mr Blackler appeared in court on Thursday and was remanded in custody until his next appearance in November.
