A motorcyclist and another person have died in two separate crashes in a day, in Hamilton and Eketahuna.
A motorcyclist is dead after a collision with a car in the Tararua District this afternoon.
The crash occurred 5km north of Eketahuna and caused delays on State Highway 2, but the road is now open.
And a person involved in a serious crash in the Hamilton suburb of Frankton this afternoon has died.
Police said no one else involved in the crash, which occurred about 1pm on Greenwood Street, had been injured.
Diversions remain in place and the serious crash unit was is investigating.
And drivers have been asked to avoid Mokoia Road in Chatswood, on Auckland's North Shore after a serious crash, also involving a car and motorcycle.
Police said Mokoia Road would be closed for at least another two hours while the serious crash unit investigated, but diversions were in place.
Two people were in hospital with serious injuries.
