Search and rescue teams have found two men who failed to return from a four-wheel drive trip in the MacKenzie District in the central South Island yesterday.

The men set out on Friday night and were due home on Sunday, but neither showed up for work today.
A land-based search and rescue operation was launched at Dobson Valley, near Twizel.
A short time ago, police said the men had made contact with them, and they were both safe and well.
