A truck driver charged with causing the death of a German cyclist in Manawatu has appeared in the Marton District Court.
Mia Pusch, 19, was on a cycling and backpacking trip through New Zealand when she was hit by a truck and trailer unit near Bulls in January this year.
The 66-year-old driver appeared in court on Wednesday and has been charged with careless driving causing death.
The man was granted interim name suppression and will reappear on 20 May.
