Boy actor faces dangerous driving charge

Actor James Rolleston has appeared in court charged with dangerous driving.

The 19-year-old star of the hit New Zealand film Boy was badly hurt when a car struck a bridge in Opotiki in July.

Another 19-year-old man was injured in the crash.

Mr Rolleston appeared in the Opotiki District Court this morning. He will next appear at the beginning of February.

Mr Rolleston plays the lead role in the upcoming remake of Goodbye Pork Pie.
