Hundreds of people have attended the funeral of a New Zealand nurse killed in Sydney last week.
Michelle Beets was stabbed to death as she arrived home from work.
The 57-year-old was at the Royal North Shore Hospital emergency department.
Senior doctors and nurses and support staff attended the Catholic service in Chatswood on Friday.
Family and friends also filled the church hall including Ms Beets' long-term partner, who did not speak.
The ABC reports her father, Robby Beets, delivered a colourful and descriptive eulogy, including stories of her childhood.
"As long as you remember her, she will not die. She'll be there with you all the time."
Police were present at the funeral. An arrest has yet to be made and a weapon has not been found.
Ms Beets studied at Epsom Girls Grammar School in Auckland and worked at Green Lane Hospital before moving to Australia.
