Police in Counties Manukau are looking for a man who robbed a woman while holding a knife to her grandchild.
The woman and her granddaughter, aged two years, were approached by the man while walking in a reserve in Botany at about 4pm on Thursday.
The man held a knife to the child and took a gold chain from her grandmother's neck.
The woman also handed over her gold bangles to the man.
Police say he drove away on a grey mini Chopper motor bike towards Butley Drive.
