Series of Whanau Ora hui begins

11:13 am on 10 May 2010

The first of a series of hui is being held on Monday for social service providers wanting to know more about the Government's Whanau Ora programme.

Initial funding of $134 million has been set aside over the next four years for the new approach to delivering services to at-risk families.

Groups providing these services have been invited to attend a dozen hui being held around New Zealand to hear about the expressions of interest process, when they can apply to join the programme.

The first meetings are being held in Hamilton and Rotorua.
