A 24-year-old man is being treated in Hutt Hospital after being shot early this morning in Stokes Valley.
Three men from Stokes Valley and Naenae, aged 24, 30, and 33, have been arrested and charged with a range of firearms offences.
The man was shot in his lower arm about 5.50am.
Detective Senior Sergeant Glenn Barnett said two of the men were arrested shortly after the incident when their car was stopped by armed police.
