Auckland Regional Council has delayed revealing how much it has lost from an exhibition football match starring David Beckham on the advice of the Auditor-General's Office.
An interim report on the financial loss was scheduled to be released by the council on Monday afternoon.
However, a council spokesperson told media moments before the meeting was due to start that the report would not be discussed on the advice of the Auditor-General.
The spokesperson says the figure will be released in the Auditor-General's report, but could not say when that would be.
Only 16,000 fans attended the match between Beckham's LA Galaxy and the Oceania All Stars on 11 December.
