A man whose body was found on a footpath near a bus stop in the west Auckland suburb of Te Atatu this morning has been indentified.

Police cordoned off the scene on Te Atatu Rd, after the body was found at about 6.30am today.
The man's death was initially treated as unexplained, but police later said the death did not appear to be suspicious and the man likely died of natural causes.
Next of kin are being advised.
