Part of State Highway 1 in Southland is closed following a fatal truck crash early this morning.

One person died, and three others were injured and taken to hospital, after the single truck crash in Edendale at about 3am this morning.
Emergency services were still at the scene, between St Ronans Road and Moore Road.
Police said diversions were being put in place and have asked motorists to be patient.
