Pro-cannabis magazine referred to censor

Updated at 11:38 am on 12 May 2010

Three issues of a New Zealand magazine which promotes the reform of marijuana laws have been sent to the office of film and literature classification.

The editor of NORML, Chris Fowlie, believes the issues were seized during police drug raids on a gardening retail giant last month.

He says he was notified on Monday that the magazine was under scrutiny, but was given no reason why.

Mr Fowlie says the magazine, first published in 1990, has never had a complaint made against it, and has only ever been referred to the censors in the past by a Government agency.
