Two motorcross riders have been flown to hospital after being injured in separate accidents today.
The Bay Trust Rescue Helicopter was called to Mangakino, in Waikato, after a 19-year-old man fell from his bike, sustaining a head injury. He was flown to Waikato Hospital.
The helicopter was then sent to Pongakawa in Bay of Plenty, where a 30-year-old man had fallen off his bike, suffering chest and back injuries.
He was flown to Rotorua Hospital.
