Police have called off the search for a missing 21-year-old Auckland woman who has not been seen in more than a week.

Carissa Avison was last seen on Thursday morning last week, when she got a ride from west Auckland to Muriwai.
Search and rescue teams have spent six days searching the Woodhill Forest area for any sign of her.
Police said after reviewing information gathered over the last week, and completing detailed searches of the area where Ms Avison may have been, they had decided to suspend the search.
But they said it may resume if more information came to light.
