Police in London are distributing flyers with a photograph of missing New Zealander Johnny Sleigh, in their efforts to find him.

Johnny Sleigh, 36, has not been seen since leaving a nightclub in Holborn, central London, at 1.20am on Saturday, 8 May.

He did not return to his flat in South London, and was reported missing after he failed to turn up for work on Monday morning.

The last sighting was on closed circuit television footage as he left the Guanabara nightclub.

Plainclothes and uniformed police officers have been at the club distributing flyers carrying a photo of the New Zealander, in an attempt to jog peoples' memories.

One of his friends in London, Rachael Frame, says the officers have timed their visits to coincide with the time Mr Sleigh arrived at the club a week ago, and when he left.

She says they hope someone might recall the direction he was heading when he left the bar.

Ms Frame says his friends have also created a website called Where's Johnny, which will be regularly updated.

Mr Sleigh's relatives in New Zealand are considering whether family members should travel to London.
