The infected person visited three public places last weekend before they were diagnosed.

Those places were the international check-in area at Auckland Airport between 5.45pm and 6.45pm on Saturday, Silverdale Pak'nSave later that night, and Albany Pak'nSave between 11am and midday on Sunday.

Medical officer of health Michael Hale said it usually took 10 to 14 days for someone with measles to start showing symptoms.
