A man has been charged with the murder of a woman near Taupō this morning.
The 56-year-old man will appear in the Rotorua District Court on Monday.
The 58-year-old woman was stabbed at a house in Five Mile Bay near Taupō.
She was taken to Waikato Hospital but died there.
A scene examination is being carried out and the police said they were not seeking anyone else over the killing.
