New Zealand Football has officially announced its support for Australia's bid to host the FIFA World Cup in 2018 or 2022.
Chairman Frank van Hattum says a World Cup hosted by Australia would be a unique opportunity for New Zealand sporting fans.
He says having the one of the world's biggest sporting events in this neighbourhood would take the game to new heights on both sides of the Tasman.
