A fire that burnt four trucks at a south Auckland commercial property last night is being treated as suspicious.

About 50 firefighters battled the blaze on Spartan Road in Takanini for more than an hour before putting it out after 11pm.

The owner of a neighbouring, Darryl Muir, said the fire was massive and the vehicles are a write-off.

"It was four big body, freezer type trucks so it [the fire] was quite large, a lot of flames, a lot of smoke."

No injuries were reported.

Police are investigating the fires and said they were following positive lines of inquiry.
