Little trouble at Big Day Out

7:16 am on 17 January 2009

Three people have been arrested for minor offences, and three people have been taken to hospital for medical conditions at Auckland's biggest day out for music.

Neil Young was the headline act at the Big Day Out but there were plenty other artists drawing in the crowd.

Among the groups that performed on Friday were My Morning Jacket the Mint Chicks, Zane Lowe, the Arctic Monkeys and The Prodigy.

Big Day Out spokesperson Paul McKessar says Pendulum and the Datsuns were big hits on the main stage.

An estimated 40,000 people attended the event.
