Fog again causing disruption at Auckland Airport

Fog restrictions have been lifted at Auckland airport after another morning of disrupted travel.

Fog restrictions were imposed at 2.45am and have been lifted but then imposed again several times.

The airport said about seven domestic flights were cancelled and a further 10 were delayed after the restrictions were applied at 10pm yesterday.

Flights from the Gold Coast and Rarotonga were diverted to Wellington overnight.

Yesterday, fog delayed and cancelled scores of domestic flights yesterday, and number of international flights were also affected.

Fog in Auckland has disrupted flights more than usual this year and and MetService has said that was likely to continue through winter.
