The Samoan man raped the girl in their Wellington home and threatened to kill her if she told anyone.

One of the incidents happened in a cemetery, and when the victim told her mother what had happened, the man hit her.

He was jailed in 2011 for 14 years after being found guilty of twice raping a girl under 12, four counts of indecent assault, two counts of unlawful connection, one charge of threatening to kill and one of assaulting a child.

The 55-year-old will be deported when his prison term ends.

He argued he would be separated from his two New Zealand-citizen children and would have no land or family support in Samoa.

But the Immigration and Protection Tribunal ruled he had no exceptional humanitarian circumstances to warrant being allowed to stay.
