More than 100 fans gathered at Auckland International Airport on Sunday afternoon to welcome home the first members of the All Whites to return to New Zealand.
Two players, Ivan Vicelich and Ben Sigmund, were on the flight along with assistant coach Brian Turner.
Younger fans brought soccer balls and shirts for the players to sign, while older fans removed their shirts and waved them above their heads as the players entered the arrivals hall.
Ivan Vicelich says he appreciated the support the team's already received via emails, faxes and texts, but it was great to see fans face to face.
Other members of the squad have returned to their European and Australian bases.
