She evaded security and got onto a flight unscreened today by walking through an unmanned metal detector.

The police, who questioned her when her flight landed in Wellington, said it appeared she did it by mistake, and no charges had been laid.

All security had to stop while staff examined CCTV footage to identify her.

Seven flights were delayed and about 500 passengers were rescreened as a precaution.
