The passenger suffered serious injuries and the driver had moderate injuries.

No one inside the house was injured.

Police say they tried to stop the car on Dairy Flat Highway in Albany about 1.30am because of the way it was being driven.

A 54-year-old man who lives in the property the car struck said he was woken about 2am by a loud crash.

He heard sirens and went outside to see what was going on.

"The car left its engine on the other side of the road - that's why it didn't smash into the house much.

"It was just like the shell of a car that hit here and travelled across the road."

Another neighbour Michelle Lee, who lives on the floor above, said it felt like a small earthquake.

Police said the men had outstanding arrest warrants and it was likely further charges would be laid.

The Serious Crash Unit attended and the Independent Police Conduct Authority has also been advised.
