A range of faulty clothes dryers are being recalled after causing at least two house fires in recent weeks.
Certain batches of the Drybars heated clothing racks have been deemed unsafe for use by an energy safety agency at the Ministry of Economic Development.
The agency says people should stop using model CR888 dryers with the serial numbers 912, 921 and 932 immediately.
The dryers, which are sold at Mitre 10 stores, pose a fire risk due to a manufacturing defect.
The Heated Clothing Rack Company has recalled the product.
