Some train services on the Johnsonville Line in Wellington have been suspended after it appears a car drove onto the tracks at Khandallah station.
Metlink said all services on the Johnsonville Line were suspended between Ngaio and Johnsonville due to a track obstruction at Khandallah.
The police are still on site and investigating the situation.
Photos on social media show a vehicle which appears to have either rolled or drove over the platform.
Trains are running between Wellington and Ngaio and services from Ngaio to Johnsonville are replaced by buses.
Trains from Wellington and Ngaio will be running to their normal timetable.
