A small section of the Queen Charlotte Track in the Marlborough Sounds has been closed to walkers.
The Department of Conservation says the owner of the private land that the track crosses between Keneperu and Torea saddles has closed it for a few days to carry out animal control.
The department says about one kilometre near the middle of the 71-kilometre track is affected.
It says the section is the least used part of the track, as many walkers make day trips from either end.
