A classic music festival is underway in Nelson.
The Adams Festival's 10th anniversary began at a gala event in Nelson Cathedral on Friday night.
International acts include the Prazak String Quartet from Czechoslovokia, pianist Piers Lane from Australia and an American classical guitarist, David Tanenbaum.
The festival began in 1992 with five performances, and this year there are 42.
