Emergency services say they've now contained a large grass fire in South Wairarapa.
Six appliances were sent to help rural fire services on Saturday afternoon as a blaze, 5 kilometres south east of Martinborough, grew rapidly and moved towards buildings.
The fire is now under control and firefighters are in the process of dampening down hot spots.
