A pizza delivery man was attacked by a group of drunken men on Tuesday night in Manurewa.
Police say he was reversing down the driveway of a property after making a delivery when three men opened the door and threw him to the ground.
Police say he was punched and kicked in the head and upper body and is believed to have lost consciousness at some point. When he came to, his attackers and car were gone.
The man, 51, was taken to hospital for treatment and released on Wednesday.
The offenders are believed to be aged 15 to 20 with two described as Polynesian and one as Maori.
