Organisers are calling the Ellerslie International Flower Show a "phenomenal success", after more than 75,000 people attended the event, being held in Christchurch for the first time.
The Christchurch City Council bought the rights to the Auckland show two years ago.
The Managing Director, Dave Mee, says the city has embraced the show, which had a record breaking number of visitors on opening day.
He says four gardens won gold awards, which is the largest number for at least five years.
