Maritime New Zealand will inspect a boat that sank off the Manawatu coast, claiming the lives of two anglers early on Tuesday morning.
The boat was upside down in the water. It has now been towed back to Foxton.
Maritime New Zealands says it does not know at this stage what caused the tragedy and it won't know for some time.
The men were Steven Michael Militch, 55, and Billy Tane Apiata, 51.
