Black Caps win series against Bangladesh

New Zealand has won the third one day international cricket match against Bangladesh to take the series, 2-1.

Chasing 250 runs to win, Bangladesh struggled to 170 for eight from their 50 overs in Chittagong on Tuesday.

New Zealand lost both openers McCullum and Ryder for only 13 runs. However, Ross Taylor and Jacob Oram made a third wicket partnership of 125 runs, Tayor scoring 103 and Oram 73.

Naeem Islam top-scored with an unbeaten 46 for the home side from 106 balls with five fours.

Kyle Mills, Jeetan Patel and Jacob Oram each took two wickets.

New Zealand beat Bangladesh by 75 runs in the second match on Saturday. Bangladesh won the opening match by seven wickets in Dhaka.

The first of two tests starts in Chittagong on Friday.
