Two lost teenage trampers have been found in the Ruahine ranges.
The boys, both aged 16, reported themselves lost by cellphone after becoming disoriented in the snow on Saturday afternoon.
They were waist-deep in snow, had limited food and inadequate clothing.
Three search teams went into the area on foot and the boys were found just before 10pm.
They staying overnight with the rescue team at a nearby hut and will make their way out on Sunday morning.
