Police could lay charges over Harbour Bridge protest

Police say they may consider laying charges against those who participated in a recent protest on the Auckland Harbour Bridge.

About 2000 people campaigning for pedestrian and cycleways broke through a police line to walk across the bridge on Sunday.

The action caused major traffic hold-ups and those involved say further action is likely.

But police are warning they have a considerable amount of video footage from the protest and may charge those that they can identify.
