The police have released the names of three of the four people killed in a head-on car crash in Waikato on Saturday afternoon.
They were Lucan Ryder, 29, Monique Ryder, 9 and Patricia Matthews, 30.
The fourth person is still being formally identified. Two other children, aged 4 and 10, and another man are recovering in Waikato hospital.
The accident happened around midday on Saturday, 11km east of Benneydale in heavy rain and fog.
The road has now re-opened after being closed for several hours.
