At least seven cars crashed on Bay of Plenty roads on Thursday morning as drivers hit black ice, police say.
Police say no-one was injured in the crashes in the Rotorua, South Waikato and Taupo districts.
However they are urging motorists to drive to the conditions, and to be especially cautious when traveling in shaded areas.
