Power lines are dangling over a railway track after a three-car crash in Fielding that saw one car shatter a concrete power pylon.
Police say the three cars collided just before 1am on Saturday on Campbell Road near Bunnythorpe.
One car, carrying three people, slid along a grass verge and collided with a concrete power pole beside a rail track.
The pole fell to the ground, leaving the power lines hanging over the rail track.
A goods train was forced to stop soon afterwards as it passed beneath the dangling lines.
The train crossing at Bunnythorpe will be closed until the power lines can be restored.
Police say the second car involved in the crash ended up on the grass verge, while the third left the scene. They want to speak to the occupants of the third car.
