Police investigate Dunedin house attacks

6:47 am on 21 June 2009

A group kicked in doors of houses in the Waverley area of Dunedin on Saturday night leaving some residents unable to secure their homes overnight, police say.

Senior Sergeant Steve Aitken says the police received five reports from upset residents between 8pm and midnight on Saturday.

He says the group made no attempt to enter the houses, and drove off once the doors were kicked open.

Senior Sergeant Aitken says residents were left shaken and some now need to replace their entire front doors.
