Police in Hastings advise motorists to expect delays until 7.30am at the intersection of Pakowhai Road, Farndon Road area where there has been a fatal crash.
A man was found dead in a crashed vehicle at 3.40am on Thursday after the vehicle struck a power pole a the intersection.
No other vehicles were involved.
