Two earthquakes have occurred in the Nelson Marlborough region.
The first 4.25am on Friday measured 4.2 on the Richter scale and was 90km deep. It was centred about 40km south-west of Nelson.
At 5.16am, another quake centred in the same spot, measured 4.6 on the Richter scale.
